ECC and HECC
SETS has taken up several projects in Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Hyper Elliptic Curve Cryptography (HECC). These include ECC and HECC cryptanalysis, building proprietary cryptosystems using ECDLP as well as bilinear maps on elliptic curves and their secure implementation both hardware and software.

Pseudo-randomness testing
SETS is currently devising and implementing new statistical tests of pseudo-randomness of bit-stream using several breakthrough results published over the last few months

Cryptographic Protocols
SETS is researching new methods for cryptographic access control using bilinear maps on elliptic curve groups. One of the applications of this line of research is to provide provable security and greater efficiency for tasks in secure broadcast/multicast.
