SETS is the first institution in India, if not the world, that specializes solely in the area of information security. It utilizes a comprehensive work management philosophy, called FARES, to enhance and gain skills in the area of cryptography algorithms, cryptology protocols, secure information systems and security policies.

As the motto of SETS would suggest, it hopes to:

• Strategize the use of human resources and tools available in the area of information security inside and outside India; and
• Synergize these resources and their use to realize an infrastructure for information security technology and service development.
